Walking Tour of Florence & Meet David

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage city of Florence, strolling its charming streets. Then, with an English-speaking guide, visit Florence's top museums and meet Michelangelo's masterpiece, David.

Discover the magnificent heart of Florence and uncover its distinctive heritage and awe-inspiring beauty alongside a seasoned tour guide. Our tour delves into the historical and architectural transformations spanning from its Roman inception, through the medieval epochs, and the Renaissance's golden era, up to modern-day Florence.

Our guide will lead you to significant sites where illustrious thinkers and artists have once stood, drawing inspiration. These include Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo, the Baptistery, Santa Trinita, Orsanmichele Church, the iconic Pontevecchio Bridge, the secretive Vasari Corridor, and much more.

Next, gain swift access to the Accademia Gallery museum with priority admission and behold the original masterpiece by Michelangelo, which has come to epitomize the brilliance of the Renaissance: "The David." Crafted by a youthful Michelangelo in his twenties, this sculpture emerges from a solitary block of local Carrara marble and stands an impressive 5.17 meters tall (17 ft). Depicting the biblical hero David who vanquished Goliath, this sculpture swiftly became a symbol of the defense of civil liberties within the Florentine Republic when it was unveiled in 1504. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to admire Michelangelo's renowned incomplete works, "Prigioni" and "San Matteo."

Within the Accademia Gallery Florence, home to numerous other masterpieces encompassing paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, you will explore creations by eminent artists such as Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto, and many more, all led by your knowledgeable English-speaking guide.
